The trajectory Myles Smith has traced since 2022 reads like a compressed version of a decade-long career: a stripped-down cover of The Neighbourhood’s “Sweater Weather” goes viral, a recording contract with RCA follows, “Stargazing” peaks at number four in the UK and cracks the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and then come the BRIT Rising Star Award and a booked headline at London’s The O2. He arrives at Place Bell in Laval this August behind a debut album he has described as drawn from “old therapy notes, memories and experiences that shaped who I am.” Four years from open-mic nights to a 10,000-capacity arena. It is, to put it plainly, one of the faster ascents in recent British folk-pop.

Smith is touring behind My Mess, My Heart, My Life, released June 26, 2026, a fifteen-track collection exploring family, grief, identity, mental health, love, and self-acceptance. The album includes previously released singles “Nice to Meet You” (the most-played song across UK radio, television and public spaces throughout 2025) and “Hold Me in the Dark,” plus a collaboration with Niall Horan on “Drive Safe.” His breakthrough single “Stargazing” earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work; it is now certified 3x Platinum in the UK with more than 2.09 billion global streams. His sound, consistently described as a blend of contemporary folk, indie pop, and a dash of Americana, has accumulated more than 4.7 billion total streams and 23.5 million monthly Spotify listeners. Smith also carries stadium dates supporting Ed Sheeran on this same touring cycle.
Opening is Michael Marcagi, the Cincinnati-based folk-rock singer-songwriter whose earnest blend of rock, bluegrass, and traditional American music found a global audience when his 2023 single “Scared to Start” crossed one billion global streams and reached number five on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. Marcagi self-financed a recording session in upstate New York with producer David Baron, known for his work with The Lumineers and Noah Kahan. His debut EP, American Romance, arrived in February 2024; he spent 2025 touring European and UK arenas with The Lumineers. The bill pairs two artists on comparable upward trajectories.
