Powerman 5000 has been running the industrial metal circuit since Boston, 1991 — through a DreamWorks Records signing, through the late-1990s breakthrough of Tonight the Stars Revolt!, through label changes and lineup reshuffles, and now 12 studio albums in, still on the road behind Abandon Ship (Cleopatra Records, May 2024). Platinum-certified and persistently active, the band is fronted by Spider One (born Michael Cummings), the only consistent member through three-plus decades and the younger brother of Rob Zombie. What the show’s Eventbrite listing describes as futuristic visuals, sci-fi themes, and high-energy performances remains the core pitch. The spring 2027 tour brings them to Photo City Music Hall in Rochester on April 27.
About the Show
The Rochester stop opens the April 27–30 Northeast leg of a 23-date spring run announced in September 2026, spanning from San Francisco’s DNA Lounge (April 16) to the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood (May 22). Powerman 5000 arrives with Abandon Ship (Cleopatra Records, May 2024), their 12th studio album and the second they have released on the indie label since signing in 2020, as the current release. Two support acts travel the full run. Aesthetic Perfection is the industrial pop project of Daniel Graves, LA-born and now based in Linz, Austria, who has released music independently since 2014 through his own Close to Human Records; his catalog includes 2021’s MMXX and draws on EBM and synthpop in what sources describe as production “both dance-floor ready and emotionally intense.” A Killer’s Confession, the Cleveland band formed in 2016 by former Mushroomhead vocalist Waylon Reavis, issued their debut Unbroken in 2017 on Megadeth bassist David Ellefson’s EMP Label Group. Their album Victim 3, scheduled for November 2026 release, means the band arrives in Rochester a few months into a new cycle.

Photo City Music Hall is at 543 Atlantic Ave in Rochester, part of the Finger Lakes region. The room holds 400. For a platinum-certified act with a discography stretching back to 1995, it is the kind of smaller booking where a band either delivers with nothing left to hide behind or coasts on name recognition, and a band on its 12th album has presumably figured out which one earns the return visitor.
