The Haunt at Rec Room | October 5, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · August 24, 2026

The Haunt have been earning the kind of press notices that suggest a band moving toward something: Kerrang! crediting them with a “gothic edge” and “flashes of punk vibrancy,” Rock Sound calling them a breakthrough act. The Ghost Tour — their fall 2026 run named for a new single about loss, lingering presence, and the emotional wreckage that follows — brings the Miami quartet to western New York, stopping at Rec Room on Buffalo’s Chippewa Street on Monday, October 5.

About the Show

At the center of The Haunt are siblings Anastasia Grace Haunt (lead vocals, piano) and Maxamillion Haunt (guitar, vocals, piano), with Nat Smallish on bass and Nick Lewert on drums. The band formed in Miami around 2012 (originally under the name AnastasiaMax, the pair making music together since childhood) and built a national touring profile with Palaye Royale, The Hu, and The Struts. Their 2025 album New Addiction established the aggressive, cathartic sound the Ghost Tour is built on; the fall run follows a spring 2026 Hollow Crown Tour leg that covered the US and stretched into Europe, with dates in London, Munich, Berlin, and Cologne. Earlier singles tell the reach: “Cigarettes & Feelings,” a French New Wave–inflected track, is approaching 13 million Spotify plays, while “Hollywood” appeared on Hulu’s Plan B soundtrack. The tour takes its name from the 2026 single “Ghost,” produced by John Feldmann (Yungblud, blink-182, 5 Seconds of Summer), a track built around distorted guitars and the interplay between two vocalists who have shared a stage since childhood. Press comparisons run from Evanescence and My Chemical Romance to Amy Winehouse and Bauhaus, which tells you something about the band’s range. Miami New Times once tagged them “Best Unknown Band”; that label is getting harder to sustain. No support act is listed for the Buffalo date.
