Sherman Theater sits at the foot of the Poconos in Stroudsburg, PA — a 1,800-capacity room that consistently punches above its weight on bookings. Case in point: The Hu and Apocalyptica are co-headlining on Friday, May 15, 2026, with Finnish rock act The Rasmus along as special guest. Doors open at 6:00 PM, show at 7:00 PM. All ages.
About The Hu
The Hu formed in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia in 2016 and built something the world had not heard before: a genre they call Hunnu Rock, built on morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), Mongolian throat singing, tovshuur, and jaw harp woven into hard rock. It reads strange on paper. Live, it is unlike anything else. The band has racked up nearly 900 million global streams, landed on the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order soundtrack, performed at Glastonbury, and toured North American arenas alongside Iron Maiden. They are also the first Mongolian group awarded the Chinggis Khaan Order — the country’s highest cultural honor.
Their third album, The Hun, is due out this year. Lead single “The Real You” sets the tone — upbeat, fast, rooted in Mongolian ancestral imagery and the kind of proverbs that make you feel like you should be doing better.
Also on the bill: Apocalyptica, the Finnish cello metal institution that started in 1993 at Helsinki’s Sibelius Academy reimagining Metallica through classical cello arrangements and has built a catalog entirely their own since. And The Rasmus, the platinum-selling Finnish rock band, rounding out a lineup that earns the drive.
