Kleinhans Music Hall is not the room you picture when you think of a Trey Anastasio show — and that is exactly the point. On Saturday, June 20, Trey brings his 2026 acoustic tour to one of Buffalo’s most distinguished concert halls for An Acoustic Evening with Trey Anastasio, just him and longtime collaborator Jeff Tanski on keyboards, no full band behind them. The intimate, listening-room format is intentional — these are shows where every note lands differently than it does in an arena, and Kleinhans is precisely the kind of room built for that.
About Trey Anastasio
Anastasio has led Phish as guitarist, vocalist, and primary composer since 1983. Rolling Stone named him one of the 250 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He holds three Grammy nominations and a Tony nomination for co-writing a Broadway musical score, and he has performed original compositions with major symphonies — credentials that fit the Kleinhans setting better than you might expect from a Phish frontman.
His creative partnership with Jeff Tanski goes back to 2013. Together they have worked on Hands on a Hardbody and the pandemic-era streaming series The Beacon Jams. This is not a pickup arrangement — it is a duo with a decade of shared vocabulary behind them.
The Buffalo date is show #13 of 14 on the 2026 acoustic run, which spans May 26 in Portland through June 24 at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. Kleinhans is one stop before the two-night Port Chester finale — late in a tour that bridges Phish’s Las Vegas Sphere residency in April and their summer run at Madison Square Garden, Fenway Park, and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. If you are going to catch this version of Trey, this is close to the last chance.
At Kleinhans Music Hall
Kleinhans Music Hall is at 3 Symphony Circle in Buffalo. It is a classical concert hall built for acoustic precision — a room that earns its reputation every time a performer strips things down to the essentials. Doors at 6:00 PM, show at 7:30 PM.
