Aziz Ansari at Ulster Performing Arts Center | October 17, 2026

By Meg Andersen · August 4, 2026

Aziz Ansari is back on the road with the Hypothetical Tour — a name that fits a comedian who has never been content to do one thing and keeps returning to stand-up between film projects and TV specials. He brings it to Kingston’s Ulster Performing Arts Center on Saturday, October 17, at 7 p.m.

About the Show

The Hypothetical Tour kicked off an earlier leg that included a sold-out date at Boston’s Wang Theatre, and this fall 2026 extension, presented by Live Nation, adds 10 more U.S. cities through October. The Kingston stop sits in the middle of a northeast cluster: Ithaca the night before (October 16) and New York City’s Beacon Theatre the following night (October 18). No support act is listed for this date.

Ansari earned wide recognition as Tom Haverford on Parks and Recreation before shifting into prestige territory with Netflix’s Master of None, which he co-created and for which he earned two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. He was also the first Asian actor to win a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, and one of the few headlining comedians to sell out Madison Square Garden. His 2019 special Right Now drew a Grammy nomination; his most recent Netflix special, Nightclub Comedian, is currently streaming. His 2025 film Good Fortune — written and directed by Ansari, starring Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, and Keanu Reeves — reached No. 1 on Apple TV after its November release.

Venue & Logistics

UPAC (the Ulster Performing Arts Center at 601 Broadway in Kingston) holds 1,500 seats. For an artist who sold out Madison Square Garden, it’s an unusually close-in setting, and a reasonable case for catching this tour in Kingston rather than waiting for the Beacon. Kingston sits in the Hudson Valley, about 100 miles north of New York City, making this an accessible date for much of the region. The show is open to ages 12 and up.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at $45.50, $65.50, $85.50, and $105.50. A member presale through Bardavon begins August 4 at 10 a.m.; general on-sale starts Thursday, August 6 at 10 a.m. Per the venue, the Bardavon and UPAC box offices and Ticketmaster.com are the only official sources for tickets; buying from secondary markets carries risk for this event.
