The label “tribute act” has never quite fit Bad Co Legacy, and the distinction is worth understanding before you decide whether to make the drive to Niagara Falls. Robert Hart sang lead for Bad Company for seven years during the band’s 1990s run (the third vocalist in that chair, following Paul Rodgers and Brian Howe), and Dave “Bucket” Colwell held the guitar job for 12. They didn’t cover these songs from the outside; they performed them as members of the band.
About the Show
Hart, whose vocal style has been noted for its resemblance to founding singer Paul Rodgers, joined Bad Company in 1992 at the request of Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke, contributing lead vocals and co-writing credits to Company of Strangers (1995) and Stories Told and Untold (1996). Colwell joined in 1990, also at Ralphs’ invitation, and spent 12 years with the group across studio and live recordings; his subsequent credits include work with Paul Rodgers on Merchants of Cool (2002). Hart currently performs with Manfred Mann’s Earthband and toured Germany in 2020 as part of “Rock meets Classic.” These are not careers that ended when the gig did.
The catalog they draw from in performance runs wide: “Can’t Get Enough,” “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy,” “Shooting Star,” and “Ready for Love” are among the songs in regular rotation, alongside material from Free, Mott the Hoople, and Bob Dylan — the full lineage of what Bad Company became after its 1973 formation in London. That original band has since been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Bad Co Legacy lineup for this show also includes Chris Childs (ex-Thunder and Tyketto) on bass, John Lingwood of Manfred Mann’s Earth Band on drums, and Roger Chapman.
Venue & Logistics
The Bears Den at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino, located in western New York, describes itself as the region’s “premier small stage”: 440 seats, no chair more than 40 feet from the performers. For a catalog this size, proximity is the point. The show is Friday, March 19, 2027, at 8:00 p.m. Setlist.fm records a previous Bad Co Legacy date at this same venue during the band’s 2026 U.S. touring run.
