Best of The Eagles sold out Paramount Hudson Valley this spring, which in the tribute-act circuit qualifies as a straightforward argument for a return booking. The case for the November 7 date goes a step further: the six-piece ensemble arrives with a full horn section added to the production, expanding the sonic scope of a show already built around close-fidelity vocal and instrumental replication of the Eagles’ catalog. It is, in other words, the same show that sold out the room, now with more of it.
About the Show
Founded in 2012 by guitarist and vocalist Joe Vadala, Best of The Eagles has spent more than a decade building a Northeast following on a specific and labor-intensive premise: each of the six performers mirrors their counterpart in the Eagles both instrumentally and vocally, rather than simply covering the songs. The band describes this approach as “the most exact interpretation of the music of the Eagles in America,” a claim that has earned validation across sold-out engagements at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey, Ike’s Hall at West Point, the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, and venues in Virginia, Michigan, and Florida. An executive director at Westhampton Beach called the act “by far the best” after presenting multiple Eagles tributes, noting the musicians’ caliber rivaled the original act while offering better ticket value.
The six members — Vadala, John Bushnell (rhythm, lead, and slide guitars; vocals), Jerry Steele (guitar, pedal steel, and vocals), Dan Miller (bass and vocals), Dave Biglin (keyboards and vocals), and Anthony Krizan (drums and lead vocals) — now perform with a full horn section behind them. The confirmed set covers the Eagles’ core catalog: Hotel California, Take It Easy, Desperado, Peaceful Easy Feeling, and Lyin’ Eyes. The Peekskill date sits near the center of a Northeast fall run that opened at Proctors in Schenectady and moved through the Palace Theater in Syracuse and the Innovation Theater in Rochester before arriving here; Montclair, New Jersey’s Wellmont Theater closes out the run in November.
