Bill Engvall at Kodak Center | May 22, 2027

By Meg Andersen · November 4, 2026

Bill Engvall stepped away from stand-up between 2022 and 2025, took what looked like a final bow, and then returned — with a tour name that makes no effort to hide the irony. Here’s Your Sign, It Wasn’t My Time comes to Kodak Center in Rochester on Saturday, May 22, 2027 at 7:30 p.m.

About the Show

The name is a callback to Engvall’s iconic “Here’s Your Sign” bit, the observational comedy routine that launched his 1996 debut album of the same name. That album went platinum, spent 15 weeks at the top of Billboard’s Comedy Chart, and produced a title single that hit No. 1 on the Country Singles Sales Chart, earning him a 1997 NARM award for Best Selling Comedy Album. He’s a Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum recording artist, a credential that doesn’t often attach to stand-up comedians, but Engvall has always worked across categories. His 1998 follow-up, Dorkfish, debuted atop the Comedy Chart as well.

He came up through nightclubs after a stint as a Dallas disc jockey (he’s originally from Galveston, Texas) and built his following on observational humor, finding the comedy in everyday situations and delivering it in a down-to-earth style. The Blue Collar Comedy Tour brought that sensibility to its widest audience. Co-headlining with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and Ron White, he was part of a franchise whose concert films sold more than 9 million units.

On television, Engvall starred in and executive produced The Bill Engvall Show on TBS across three seasons, held a recurring role as Reverend Paul on FOX’s Last Man Standing, and more recently appeared as head auctioneer on Blue Collar Auction on Peacock’s Circle TV. He’s also the author of three books, including his 2007 autobiography, Bill Engvall – Just A Guy: Notes From a Blue Collar Life. After three years away from the road, he’s back with a show that sources describe as “a high-energy set filled with sharp observations, personal stories” — material rooted in his long-running persona as, in his own words, “just a guy.” This Rochester date was originally set for November 14, 2026 and has since been rescheduled to May 22, 2027.
