Bill Engvall at Kodak Center | November 14, 2026

By Meg Andersen · August 25, 2026

Bill Engvall came out of retirement, and the tour name says everything: “Here’s Your Sign, It Wasn’t My Time.” Three years off the road, a genuine change of heart, and now he’s back. He plays Kodak Center in Rochester on Saturday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m.

About the Show

Engvall stepped away from stand-up in 2022, called it a retirement, and meant it — until he didn’t. The current tour has him back on the road, working through that reversal in real time, and the title gives you a sense of his attitude about the whole thing. He arrives in Rochester with a résumé built over decades: the American Comedy Award for Best Male Stand-up Comedian in 1992 and years as one of the four mainstays of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, and Ron White. The concert films sold over 9 million units and rank among Comedy Central’s most-watched programming; the group’s soundtrack earned a Grammy nomination.

His comedy has always started in everyday life: the frustrations and absurdities that require no explanation for anyone who has bought a car, raised a teenager, or argued about a thermostat. The “Here’s Your Sign” bit has been his signature for thirty years — it launched the 1996 debut album, which went platinum and held the #1 spot on Billboard’s Comedy Chart for 15 consecutive weeks, also peaking at #5 on the Country Album Chart. Subsequent comedy albums all debuted at number one on that chart.

Television credits include three seasons of “The Bill Engvall Show” on TBS, which he also executive produced, along with recurring appearances on “Last Man Standing” and hosting work on “LINGO.” His most recent special, “Just Sell Him For Parts,” is available on Amazon, iTunes, and multiple on-demand services.

No support act has been announced for the Rochester date.

Venue & Logistics

Kodak Center is a 2,400-seat theater at 200 W Ridge Rd in Rochester. For stand-up, that’s a productive size: close enough that the crowd feels like a room, not so large that energy bleeds out into the back rows. It’s a central stop on the western New York circuit, reachable from most of the region without a painful drive. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
