I Don’t Know How But They Found Me at Anthology | April 4, 2026

I Don’t Know How But They Found Me — the synth-rock project built by Dallon Weekes and drummer Ryan Seaman — brought their high-voltage, retro-obsessed live show to Anthology in Rochester on April 4, 2026. The band performs under the abbreviation iDKHOW. Whatever you call them, the energy is its own category.

From Panic! to iDKHOW

Weekes spent years as a bassist and creative force inside Panic! At The Disco, absorbing the mechanics of arena-scale performance before stepping away to build something fundamentally different. Where Panic grew bigger and more polished over time, iDKHOW went the other direction — stranger, more specific, and more deliberately out of step with anything currently trending. The project launched with a slow, deliberate rollout that matched the aesthetic: mysterious, theatrical, and committed to a vision that wasn’t waiting for permission.

The sound pulls from new wave, post-punk, and power pop through a modern synth filter. Weekes’s theatrical vocals carry the melodic weight while Seaman’s drumming gives everything a physical foundation that keeps the retro influence from feeling like pastiche. Songs like “Choke,” “Leave Me Alone,” and “Do It All The Time” don’t sound like anything else in the current landscape — that specificity is the point.

What makes iDKHOW particularly effective in smaller rooms is the contrast: Weekes brings arena-level stage presence and directs it at a 500-person crowd with full intensity. Nothing gets held back for the bigger venues. Club-size shows like this are the ones that get talked about.

Anthology in Rochester is one of the Finger Lakes region’s best mid-size rooms — and a band like iDKHOW is exactly the kind of act it’s built for. If you’ve been with the project since the early EPs or arrived through the more recent releases, this is what it sounds like when you can actually feel it.
