Metallica plays stadiums like they never left the club circuit — in-the-round production, no backs to the crowd, the same four members who have been grinding since 1981 still hitting loud enough to make a building shake. On June 8, 2027, the M72 World Tour arrives at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. It will be the first concert at Buffalo’s new building.
About the Show
The M72 World Tour launched in April 2023; the “M” stands for Metallica, the “72” for 72 Seasons, the band’s eleventh studio album. Hetfield put it plainly: “72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves.” By the time this North American leg was announced, the tour had already completed 99 shows across 26 countries and drawn nearly five million attendees. These 2027 dates don’t bring back the “No Repeat Weekends” concept from earlier M72 legs — this is 12 one-night-only stadium shows, May 8 through June 19, presented by Live Nation. Limp Bizkit and Avatar are on the bill at every stop. James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo will be in the building. Before the North American run, the band stages their “Life Burns Faster” residency at the Las Vegas Sphere from October 2026 through March 2027. Venue & Logistics
Highmark Stadium sits at 1 Bills Dr. in Orchard Park, just south of Buffalo, in Western New York. The Metallica show will be the first concert at the new building. Showtime is 6:00 p.m. Enhanced Experience packages are available through official Metallica channels, including early entry, meet and greet with the band, stage tours, Snake Pit passes (standing-room access near the center stage), and Black Box Lounge access before the show.

No ticket price was available from sources at the time of publication. Fans are limited to six tickets per account.
