The Arcadian Wild built their sound without a drummer — each of the three players taking a rhythmic role in its absence, leaning on voice and mandolin and fiddle to do the work most bands hand to a kit. Their fourth album, Make It Out Alive, grew from something even more deliberate: all three members co-writing collectively for the first time, working through shared grief until the music, as Lincoln Mick put it, carries “a sense of settledness, a relaxing into shared trust.” On Wednesday, March 3, they bring that record to Colony Woodstock.
About the Show
Make It Out Alive, released August 14, 2026, marks a turning point for the Nashville trio. Guitarist and vocalist Isaac Horn, mandolinist and vocalist Lincoln Mick, and fiddler and vocalist Bailey Warren have been playing together for over a decade — Horn and Mick met as choir students at Lipscomb University, where they bonded over American roots music despite growing up on alt-rock and punk. Warren joined full-time in January 2020. For this album, the band co-wrote every track together for the first time and brought in outside producer Micah Tawlks — known for his work with Judah & The Lion and The Brook & The Bluff — the first time they have worked with a producer outside the group. The songwriting drew from real hardship: Horn processed the loss of his grandmother, Mick navigated a family miscarriage and his subsequent daughter’s birth, and Warren honored her late mother. What emerged, Warren said, is music that feels “wholly ours” — a cohesion that is less about any individual and more about the group as a collective.
The sound the band arrived at is dense and layered, folding folk, country, bluegrass, choral, and pop into something they describe as “lush and expansive.” The Make It Out Alive Tour runs more than 35 dates through spring 2027. This Colony Woodstock stop follows a New York City date at Le Poisson Rouge on March 2, making it one of the more accessible catches in the Hudson Valley for anyone tracking the tour as it moves north. No support act is listed for this date.
