The UNWANTED NORTH AMERICAN TOUR 2027 hits Electric City on Thursday, April 8, stop 21 of 23 on a run that opened in Philadelphia on March 12 and closes in Albany on April 10. The tour supports Unwanted, the band’s sophomore album released November 2026 on Arising Empire — a follow-up to 2024’s debut Excessive Guilt. THROWN has covered a lot of ground getting here: a North American leg in fall 2026, an EU/UK tour with Counterparts, Australian dates in early 2027, and Furnace Fest and Core Fest in 2026 along the way.
Drummer Buster Odeholm produced Unwanted — his credits include Humanity’s Last Breath, Vildhjarta, and Orbit Culture — and ran the record tight: 11 tracks in just over 21 minutes. The band describes the album’s territory as frustration, self-reflection, resentment, and isolation; track titles like “bare minimum,” “subpar,” and “hard times” do not require further explanation. Press has called the full sound “crushing grooves collide with hardcore aggression, nu metal swagger and an almost instinctive sense for hooks, creating songs that are brutally direct without sacrificing their infectious quality.”
Marcus Lundqvist handles vocals, Johan Liljeblad and Andreas Malm play guitars, Odeholm holds the kit. The four-piece won “Best Breakthrough Live Artist” at the 2024 Heavy Music Awards and “Best Breakthrough Album” at the 2025 edition. Supporting the Buffalo date: Guilt Trip, a Manchester metalcore outfit, and fromjoy, described as a rising Houston math/breakcore act. Show up before the support sets.
Venue & Logistics
Electric City is a 1,000-capacity club at 433 Pearl Street in Buffalo’s Theater District, a room that puts the stage close enough to matter. The western New York market does not see this kind of lineup every year. Doors at 6:00 p.m., show at 7:00 p.m.
