Most AC/DC tribute acts pick a lane — the Bon Scott years or the Brian Johnson era — and stay there. Thunderstruck: America’s AC/DC does not. Vocalist Bobby Lee Stamper covers both vocal ranges, which means this Louisville-based quintet can draw from the full AC/DC catalogue when they return to The Vine Theater at del Lago Resort & Casino on Saturday, January 16.
About the Show
Thunderstruck, officially established in 2015, has built its reputation around what the band calls “The Spirit of AC/DC”: a deliberate reconstruction of the live concert experience down to song tones, equipment choices, and stage energy. Radio station 101.4 WPDH described the band as bringing “the power and entertainment of a genuine AC/DC show.” The national touring schedule for 2026–27 runs through Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, with the January 16 del Lago date among the last stops on the run. That date also marks the band’s second consecutive January engagement at The Vine Theater; they played the same room on January 24, 2026. A return booking in the same month at the same venue is a reasonable indicator of how the first one landed. The band’s national profile is further marked by an exclusive sponsorship with Number Juan Tequila (the brand co-owned by comedians Alex Reymundo and Ron White), which Thunderstruck claims as the only AC/DC tribute act in the U.S. with a major national brand partner.
The five-member lineup brings specific credentials to the material. Founding rhythm guitarist Kevin Feller is the only member who saw Bon Scott perform live with AC/DC, a point of firsthand historical continuity most tribute acts cannot claim. Co-founder Chris Jones holds down bass with 13-plus years of experience across every iteration of the group. Stamper’s range across both the Johnson and Scott eras keeps the setlist from being locked into a single chapter of the catalogue; documented shows on this touring cycle have drawn on deep cuts and fan favorites across two sets and an encore.
