Adelitas Way has spent twenty years learning exactly how loud to play a small room. The Las Vegas hard rock band — post-grunge in their bones, heavily distorted guitars played at tempo, Rick DeJesus’s voice carrying the weight of it — started out selling out clubs in their hometown and never really stopped, even after festival main stages and tours with Guns N’ Roses, Shinedown, and Breaking Benjamin. They play Empire Underground on February 17, and 350 people are going to understand why rooms this size still make sense for them.
About the Show
Formed in 2006, the band drew their sound from Audioslave, Nirvana, and Soundgarden and broke into national rock radio with “Invincible,” a Gold-certified Top 5 Active Rock Radio single featured on ESPN and WWE programming. Eight albums and over one billion combined streams later, they are still headlining clubs and logging serious tour mileage: 46 dates in 2024, 32 more in 2026. Their 2011 record Home School Valedictorian sold more than 250,000 copies. They went independent in 2016 and have been releasing on their own Vegas Syn label since. This winter run covers 24 dates across the US from November through February; Albany catches them at the far end.
Magdalene Rose and Scarhaven open. Rose, signed to RockFest Records (Capitol Universal Music Group), released her debut album The Heart That Bloomed After Death in 2025; it crossed one million streams, and her single “A Bad Residential” landed at number four on the SMR Most Added chart. Scarhaven is a four-piece grunge revival act originally from Washington DC, now based in New York City, with a sound rooted in the same Soundgarden and Nirvana influence that runs through Adelitas Way’s catalog. The bill is cohesive: three acts working from the same source material.
Venue & Logistics
Empire Underground, the basement floor of Empire Live on North Pearl Street in Albany, holds 350 and opened in fall 2021. For a band that has played Rock On The Range and Welcome To Rockville, 350 caps is a deliberate choice, and in a room this small, the distance between DeJesus and the front row is measured in feet. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
