Buffalo Gore Fest 2026 at Buffalo Iron Works | June 6, 2026
The last time Buffalo hosted a death metal festival of this scale was 1990 — 36 years ago, when acts like Cannibal Corpse, Baphomet, and Malevolent Creation made the city a genuine scene hub. On Saturday, June 6, Buffalo Gore Fest 2026 arrives at Buffalo Iron Works to pick up where that left off: ten bands, doors at 1:00 PM, and a roster already drawing interest from Utah, Las Vegas, Portland, and Canada.
About the Festival
The man behind it is Dave Jurenovich, frontman of Buffalo headliners Morgue Terror and a Western New York musician who spent late 2024 turning an idea into a booking. His stated goal is to revive Buffalo’s death metal scene — not a small ambition in a city whose current metal landscape leans metalcore and hardcore.
The ten-band bill spans the Northeast and Midwest. Scab Hag (Cincinnati) arrive with Metal Hammer recognition, named among the publication’s up-and-coming death metal bands to watch. Consuming Misery (Ontario) make their US debut — the Canadian act has performed exclusively in their home country since forming in 2023, making this their first cross-border show. Coronary Thrombosis (Long Island) come armed with the ’90s New York brutal death metal tradition and their 2025 EP Disgusting Disfigurement. Marvel of Decay (Connecticut) blend traditional death metal, slam, melodic death, and tech death across multiple releases. Abated Mass of Flesh (Nashville area), Orbital Gate (Illinois), Throne (Michigan), and Slamology (Kentucky) round out the traveling contingent. Buffalo’s own Lacerate represents locally alongside headliner Morgue Terror.
Four vendors will be on-site with merchandise and entertainment between sets.
About the Venue
Buffalo Iron Works is at 49 Illinois Street in Buffalo. The booking came together through Jurenovich’s personal connection to one of the venue’s owners — he’d been emailing the club since before the idea was fully formed, pushing until it became a reality. More shows in the Buffalo area.
