About Dokken
Dokken built their name out of the Los Angeles rock scene in the early 1980s on a specific tension — Don Dokken’s melodic vocals set against George Lynch’s aggressive guitar work. That friction produced hits like “Breaking the Chains” and “In My Dreams” and albums that hold up decades later: Tooth and Nail (1984), Under Lock and Key (1985), and Back for the Attack (1987), which reached No. 13 in the US and gave the world “Dream Warriors” from the A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 soundtrack. Don Dokken himself put it plainly: he was a melodic singer, Lynch was an aggressive, heavy guitarist — and that combination was the whole thing.
The current touring lineup is Don Dokken on vocals, Mick Brown on drums, Jon Levin on guitar, and Chris McCarvill on bass. Opening the night is Lynch Mob, the band George Lynch founded after parting ways with Dokken in 1989.
