By the time Hatebreed reaches Town Ballroom on July 24, they’ll have completed a three-week run across North America — and Buffalo is where the first leg of the Summer Slaughter Tour 2026 ends. It would register as a routine closing stop if the band weren’t also navigating one of the more complicated moments in their three-decade run: a new album months from release, a founding member departed, and a guitarist back in the lineup after serious surgery.
About the Show
Hatebreed formed in New Haven, Connecticut in 1994 with an explicit mission: a hardcore band running on metal’s heavier fuel. They were among the first acts to effectively work that seam, and the reputation has held across nine studio albums on labels including Victory, Roadrunner, and Nuclear Blast. They marked their 30th anniversary in 2024 with a North American headline tour; two years later, they’re headlining one of extreme metal’s established summer packages. The Buffalo bill includes Incantation, Snuffed On Sight, The Last Ten Seconds of Life, and Face Yourself. Incantation joins only for the tour’s final five dates, so Buffalo gets the complete lineup.
The record looming over all of it is Fatal Paradox, due November 6, 2026. Lead single “Kill Count Increase” is already streaming. Drummer Matt Byrne has called the new material “way thrashier” and “the heaviest stuff that we’ve written to date.” Vocalist Jamey Jasta put it plainly: “This is our most ignorant, heavy, caveman-esque record yet. We really just went back to basics, played on all our strengths.”
What makes that framing carry weight is context. Guitarist Wayne Lozinak returned to touring after a benign brain tumor diagnosis and a craniotomy in August 2025; his presence back in the lineup is not a footnote. Founding bassist Chris Beattie, part of the original 1994 lineup, has since departed, shifting a songwriting dynamic that shaped the band’s foundational records. The band’s 2013 album The Divinity of Purpose reached number one on the Billboard Hard Rock charts. The act arriving at Town Ballroom this July is a different configuration, working toward something new.
The live show has its own logic. The Omaha stop on this same tour included a “Ball of Death” prop thrown into the crowd mid-set and closed, as Hatebreed sets typically do, with “Destroy Everything.”

Town Ballroom is at 681 S. Main Street in Buffalo — a 1,000-capacity standing-room floor within the western New York concert circuit. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Ages 12 and up; minors under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. Government-issued ID is required at entry. Funtime Presents is the promoter.
