Jessica Simpson at del Lago Resort & Casino | June 13, 2026
When Jessica Simpson released Sweet Kisses in 1999 and watched “I Wanna Love You Forever” climb to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, she was 19 years old and being positioned as the next major voice in American teen pop. What followed — a run of multi-platinum albums, a commercial peak with In This Skin in 2003, a cultural profile that placed her alongside Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as a defining presence in that era — was not, as it turned out, the whole story. After a 17-year absence from recording, Simpson returned in 2025 with Nashville Canyon, a two-part project produced with JD McPherson. This June, she brings that return to The Vine at del Lago Resort & Casino in Waterloo.
About Jessica Simpson
The Nashville Canyon comeback has been deliberate and methodical. Part I arrived in spring 2025; Part II followed on September 5. Between them, Simpson performed on American Idol in May 2025 — her first on-screen television appearance in roughly 15 years — appeared on the Today Show, and played the Grand Ole Opry in September, during the Opry’s centennial year. A one-night stand at PH Live at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas in November completed the year. “When I’ve had success in my life is when I’ve just been honest and real,” she said. “I’ve never gotten a chance to do that in music until now.”
Whether the del Lago crowd is showing up for Nashville Canyon or for “Irresistible” and “With You” is an open question. Based on setlist patterns from her recent dates, the answer is: mostly the latter. The catalog staples — “I Think I’m in Love With You,” “Irresistible,” “With You,” “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” — tend to anchor the set, with material from Nashville Canyon woven in. Resort-venue sets have run shorter than her arena-era shows; expect a tightly edited evening rather than a full production run.
Venue: The Vine at del Lago Resort & Casino
The Vine is a three-floor entertainment showroom inside the del Lago Resort & Casino — the Finger Lakes region’s primary indoor venue for national touring acts. With a 2,400-person capacity, it occupies an interesting middle ground: large enough for artists who still draw serious crowds, compact enough that there isn’t a bad sightline in the room. The casino property adds the full resort infrastructure — hotel accommodations, dining, a full-service spa — making it a reasonable destination evening for anyone driving in from Rochester or Syracuse. Note that this is a 21 & over show.
