Joe Bonamassa at Bethel Woods | June 26, 2026
Bethel Woods opens the 2026 outdoor season on June 26 — and Joe Bonamassa opens his Summer 2026 U.S. Tour on the same night. It is a fitting pairing: a blues guitarist who has built his career on endurance and amplitude, launching a coast-to-coast run from the amphitheater that sits on the most historically resonant concert ground in the country.
About Joe Bonamassa
Five Grammy nominations. Twenty-nine number-one albums on the Billboard Blues charts. At some point the credentials stop being surprising and start being the baseline: Bonamassa has sustained a level of commercial and critical traction in the blues genre that few artists manage for a season, let alone across a career spanning decades. He has done it by treating his live shows as the primary product. The albums — including the current Grammy-nominated Breakthrough and B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100, a 32-track centennial project created with the B.B. King estate — exist largely to give him something worth playing on tour.
This run carries a specific gravity. Longtime keyboardist Reese Wynans, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, is stepping back from regular touring after this season. Those who have followed Bonamassa’s band through the years will understand what that means for the set.
Support at Bethel comes from JJ Grey & Mofro, whose soulful Southern rock sound was shaped in part by years sharing stages with B.B. King and the Allman Brothers Band, and D.K. Harrell.
About Bethel Woods
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts sits on the original site of the 1969 Woodstock festival in the Hudson Valley — a fact that never becomes unremarkable, regardless of how many times you have made the drive. The outdoor pavilion at Bethel Woods provides the kind of open-air setting that suits Bonamassa’s arena-scaled approach: a powerhouse band that deserves more sky than a club ceiling can offer. Parking lots open at 2:30 PM; general gates at 5:00 PM.
