If you have ever needed a solid reason to dress up on a Tuesday night and drive to Rochester, Lucy Darling just gave you one.
About Lucy Darling
The performer behind Lucy Darling is Carisa Hendrix — a Canadian comedian and cabaret artist who built the character from scratch: a glamorous 1940s-style socialite with razor-sharp improvisational instincts and absolutely no patience for a dull evening. If that sounds like your kind of night, you are not alone. In December 2024, a single TikTok clip of her crowd work hit 21 million views and turned what had been a word-of-mouth cabaret secret into a sold-out phenomenon touring coast to coast.
The new show is called “You’re Welcome” — which is exactly the energy Hendrix brings to the stage. Part variety spectacular, part cabaret, part magic show, the whole thing is designed around the idea that you should get to dress up and step into a world of silly fun and real belly laughs. She is joined by Mark Ettinger of the Flying Karamazov Brothers — musician, composer, and globe-trotting juggler — who adds a variety-show backbone to what is already a one-of-a-kind live experience.
About Kodak Center
Kodak Center is a smart room for this kind of show. Kodak Center on Rochester’s west side brings in a mix of touring productions, concerts, and events that never quite fit into any single box — and a 1940s cabaret variety show with a TikTok-famous star is exactly the kind of thing this room was made for. If you have not been before, it sits at 200 W Ridge Rd in Rochester and is worth the trip in its own right.
