The German-formed, British-expat prog rock outfit — together since 1969 — are bringing the 2026 Mission to Mars Tour into Daryl Hall’s club, a room that holds 200 people indoors. About Nektar
Nektar formed in Germany in 1969 — a group of British expatriates writing the kind of long-form, concept-heavy material that helped define 1970s progressive rock. Their breakout came with two Top 40 records in quick succession: A Tab in the Ocean (1972) and Remember the Future (1973). They have been chasing cosmic ideas across vinyl ever since.
The current chapter is Mission to Mars, the new album that names the tour and opens a planned trilogy. The first pressing sold out globally; the second pressing includes 300 aqua-blue copies for indie record stores and 100 hand-numbered, band-signed editions. If you were waiting for an excuse to dig back into Nektar, this is it.
Founding bassist Derek “Mo” Moore anchors the touring lineup, alongside guitarist Ryche Chlanda — with the band since 1978 — keyboardist Kendall Scott, drummer Jay Dittamo, vocalist Maryann Castello, and visual director Jay Petsco. Expect Nektar’s catalog plus a King Crimson / Ian McDonald tribute segment that includes “Court of the Crimson King.”
Daryl’s House
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall’s restaurant and live-music club sits at 130 NY-22 in Pawling, deep in the southern Hudson Valley. The room opened in 2014, born from Hall’s Webby-winning web series Live from Daryl’s House. It holds 200 people indoors and scales up to 2,000 for outdoor shows. For a band famous for big-canvas concept records, this is about as close-quarters as Nektar gets — no balcony, no nosebleeds, just a club room and a sound system that the venue’s reputation is built on.
