Taylor Tomlinson has four Netflix specials and a CBS late-night run behind her, and Rolling Stone wrote she has “conquered comedy.” The Nobody Asked You To Do That tour lands at Kodak Center in Rochester on Sunday, May 16, for a 4:00 p.m. matinee — the second of two Rochester dates on this run.
About the Show
The Nobody Asked You To Do That tour runs February 4 through May 22, 2027, covering 22 dates at theater venues across major markets, promoted by Outback Presents. It follows a fall 2026 club circuit; the 2027 dates move into theater-scale rooms. Rochester gets two nights: Saturday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. and this Sunday matinee, May 16 at 4:00 p.m.
Tomlinson’s four specials — Quarter-Life Crisis (2020), Look At You (2022), Have It All (2024), and Prodigal Daughter (2026) — trace a comedian who has spent 16 years building material from family, faith, relationships, and mental health. She has been open about living with bipolar II disorder, making it part of her stand-up rather than a footnote. When she took over CBS’s After Midnight, she became the youngest major network late-night host by nearly two decades and, at the time, the only woman in the role. Forbes 30 Under 30, TIME100 Next, and the Hollywood Reporter’s “100 Most Powerful Women in Hollywood” have all cited her. Her debut essay collection, Actually, Nevermind (Gallery Books), came out September 22, 2026. CNN put it plainly: audiences are in “the era of Taylor Tomlinson.”
