Andrew Duhon at Daryl’s House | May 17, 2026
There is a kind of songwriter who makes you feel, somewhere around the second or third song, that you have been waiting for this your whole life without knowing it. Andrew Duhon is that kind of songwriter. He puts you on a Louisiana highway at dusk, or inside a house that no longer exists, and makes both feel completely true. When he plays a room this size, the music carries the weight it was built to carry.
He comes to Daryl’s House in Pawling on Sunday, May 17, as part of the Stop Motion Tour ’26, bringing The Parish Record — his most recent album, recorded at Dockside Studios in Maurice, Louisiana, deep in Cajun country — into one of the Hudson Valley‘s most intimate listening rooms. Doors open at 5:00 PM, showtime is 7:00 PM, and the show is all ages.
Duhon grew up in Catholic suburbia but carries Louisiana in his bones — his father’s family is rooted in Cajun country, and that geography shapes everything he writes. His music blends jazz, Cajun country, and blues-rock, with a songwriting sensibility that draws from Emerson, Thoreau, Whitman, and Frost as much as from any guitar tradition. The Moorings, his 2014 album, earned a Grammy nomination and announced him as a writer worth serious attention. He has not slowed down.
The Parish Record — recorded with upright bassist Myles Weeks, drummer Jim Kolacek, and keyboardist Daniel Walker — carries the texture of a specific place. On “Another House” he offers the kind of line that lands differently in a quiet room: The only thing that matters now, is she believes there’s another house. He performs with his trio — Weeks and Kolacek alongside three-part harmony — and those voices together, in a room this size, are worth planning your Sunday evening around.
About the Venue
Daryl’s House was founded by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall and opened in 2014, born from his Webby Award-winning web series Live from Daryl’s House, which Hall launched in 2007 with a simple premise: play music at home and let people see what musicians are really like when they’re relaxed and among friends. The club occupies an 18th-century barn on Route 22 in Pawling, hand-designed by Hall down to the furniture and décor. The indoor room holds between 150 and 200 people, with a sound system to match. It is exactly the kind of room where songwriting like Duhon’s finds its full range.
