Buffalo gets its hometown reckoning on Friday, July 10, when Atomic Rule takes the stage at Rec Room. Doors open at 6:00 PM, show starts at 6:45 — and with the pedigree behind this band, you will want to be there early.
About Atomic Rule
The supergroup angle here is real. Atomic Rule is built around Andy Williams — guitarist, and the man you may know as AEW’s “The Butcher” — drawing directly from the legacy of Every Time I Die. He’s joined by Travis Bennington on bass (Eternal Sleep), Kevin Boutot on drums, and James Henderson on vocals. The band’s own description: “crushing force” with “a fresh blend of chaos and heaviness.”
The reference points are instructive: DRI, Suicidal Tendencies, Cro-Mags, Sick Of It All. This is crossover thrash that means business.
Atomic Rule made their live debut in December 2024 and moved quickly. Their demo With Skull Crushing Force arrived in September 2025, followed by debut EP The Golden Rose in December. Tracks like “Thoth – Amon” and “Neptunium” push past six minutes each — dense, deliberate, and built to hit hard in a live room.
The touring resume is stacking up fast: a run with Shiner in January 2026, Midwestern dates in April, and a spot on the Western leg of GWAR’s fall “Gor Gor Must Die!” North American tour. This is not a band treating things casually. Support on July 10 comes from The Virgos and Mistress Age.
Venue Info
Rec Room is at 79 W Chippewa St in downtown Buffalo — a general admission space with a full kitchen, full bar, and massive LED video walls. It books across genres, but a metal show with this kind of firepower fits the room well. Check the full Buffalo / Western NY concert calendar for more shows in the area.
Free parking is available on Franklin St, Delaware Ave, and W Chippewa St. Chippewa fills up on Friday nights, so Franklin or Delaware is the smarter call.
