If you have not been to Buffalo RiverWorks for a show yet, a Wednesday night in late August with Black Label Society is a solid reason to fix that. The August 26 stop on the American Crusade tour rolls into Buffalo at 7:30 PM — and this is one of those nights where being on time genuinely matters, because there are three bands on this bill and you do not want to miss a set.
About Black Label Society
Zakk Wylde founded Black Label Society in 1998, and more than 25 years in, the band is not coasting on reputation. Engines of Demolition — their 12th studio album, out March 27, 2026 via MNRK Heavy — is exactly what you want from BLS: crushing riffs, soul-soaked solos, and vocals that swing between brute force and genuine heart. Pre-release singles “Name In Blood,” “Broken and Blind,” “Lord Humungus,” and “The Gallows” cover the full range of what the record does. The most-discussed track is “Ozzy’s Song” — a tribute to Wylde’s longtime collaborator Ozzy Osbourne. Wylde put it plainly: “I didn’t think this is going to be the last time we’re going to be hanging out.”
The live lineup: Zakk Wylde on vocals, guitar, and piano; John “JD” DeServio on bass; Jeff Fabb on drums.
Here is the piece of this show worth knowing before you commit: after the Black Label Society set, Wylde, DeServio, and Fabb come back out as Zakk Sabbath — their Black Sabbath tribute project — for a second full performance. Dark Chapel, led by BLS guitarist Dario Lorina, opens the night. Three bands. The same core musicians, in completely different modes. That is a full night out.
About the Venue
Buffalo RiverWorks is an outdoor multi-use venue at 359 Ganson St in Buffalo, with a capacity of 3,000. Being outdoors in late August in Western New York usually means the weather is working in your favor — one less thing to factor into the evening. Show time is 7:30 PM. Get there with enough runway to find your spot before Dark Chapel kicks things off.
Tickets
Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster. Grab your tickets here — a 3,000-cap outdoor show with a built-in Zakk Sabbath second set is not going to stay half-empty for long.
