Great White has been working that California hard rock catalog for over 40 years, though the statement is complicated somewhat by the fact that two touring acts now operate under similar names. The version coming to The Vine Showroom at del Lago Resort & Casino on Friday, January 22, 2027, is the Mark Kendall-led entity, with Brett Carlisle on lead vocals since October 2022. This is the configuration carrying a catalog built on “Once Bitten, Twice Shy” and “Rock Me” — songs that have outlasted most of their era’s competition on classic rock radio, which is the more useful measure of an ’80s hard rock band’s durability.
About the Show
Kendall founded Great White in 1982, drawing on a blues-rock vocabulary he traces to Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and The Doors. The band built their commercial arc through the mid-to-late ’80s, peaking with Once Bitten (1987) and …Twice Shy (1989), both of which went platinum; the signature track from the latter, a cover of Ian Hunter’s “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” became the band’s most durable radio moment and remains the song most casual listeners know them by. The catalog now spans 13 studio albums, nine Billboard Top 200 placements, and more than 10 million albums sold globally, with a Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance along the way. The current touring lineup includes Kendall on guitar, Michael Lardie on guitars and keyboards, Audie Desbrow on drums (with the band since 1985), Scott Snyder on bass (since 2008), and Carlisle on lead vocals. No support act is listed for the Waterloo date. The band has kept a full touring schedule throughout 2026, appearing on bills with acts including Queensrÿche and Bret Michaels, and the del Lago booking sits near the top of their early-2027 calendar.
Venue & Logistics
The Vine Showroom at del Lago Resort & Casino holds 1,400, a mid-sized room in the Finger Lakes that fits a legacy act still drawing from a catalog built for larger stages. The resort sits along State Route 414 in Waterloo. All events at The Vine are 21-and-over; del Lago enforces that restriction at every Vine Showroom event, and this one is no different. The show begins at 8:00 p.m. For doors time and additional event details, the box office is available at 315-946-1695 on show nights from 4–8 p.m.
