Jimmy Kenny & the Pirate Beach Band have spent more than 15 years working the Northeast circuit — Maine to Maryland — and they have worked out exactly what they do: walk into a concert hall in January and make it feel like August. The combination of Jimmy Buffett’s island escapism, Kenny Chesney’s country-coast catalog, and Zac Brown Band’s sun-soaked anthems makes for a night built around songs people already know and want to sing. The Long Island-based tribute act brings “The Ultimate Beach Party Tribute to Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney and the Zac Brown Band” to Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, January 23.
About the Show
Three catalogs, one show. Buffett’s island-escapism classics, Chesney’s country-coast anthems, Zac Brown Band’s campfire-country hits: all singalong-first music, written for rooms where the chorus already belongs to the crowd. The band’s own framing is “feel good, easy living vibes” — and it fits. This is not a concert that asks you to discover anything new. It is a show that asks you to sing along to the songs you already love, loudly, in a room full of people doing the same thing. Jimmy Kenny & the Pirate Beach Band have been delivering exactly that to Parrotheads, No Shoes Nation fans, and the Zamily up and down the East Coast for over 15 years.
Leading the band is Paul C. Cuthbert (performing as Jimmy Kenny) on lead vocals and acoustic guitar. Luis Rios handles lead guitar and backing vocals, Frank Stainkamp is on keyboards and backing vocals, and Dan Prine holds the low end on bass.
The Penn’s Peak date closes out a four-city Northeast run: Foxborough, Massachusetts in October; Montclair, New Jersey in November; New Year’s Eve at The Paramount in Huntington, New York; and Jim Thorpe in January. It is the final confirmed date in the current stretch.

Penn’s Peak is in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, in the Pocono Mountains. The venue has hosted Jimmy Kenny & the Pirate Beach Band before under the “Winter Beach Party” billing, which tells you something about how well the pairing works.
