Here is something worth knowing before you plan your Saturday night: this show has been rescheduled twice — first from June 7, then from June 21 — and it has now landed on August 29. If you held tickets from either of those earlier dates, they transfer automatically. Refunds are available through July 3, 2026 if August does not work for you. But if you can make it, hold on to those tickets. This is one worth keeping.
Tig Notaro brings her Out of Nowhere Tour to Kodak Center in Rochester on Saturday, August 29 at 7:00 PM. Notaro is one of those performers who makes stand-up feel almost gravity-free — deadpan timing, storytelling that builds so quietly you do not see the landing coming until you are already laughing. Rolling Stone named her one of the 50 best stand-up comics of all time, and that is not an honor they hand out loosely.
About Tig Notaro
Her 2024 Amazon special, Tig Notaro: Hello Again, earned multiple Emmy nominations. Her documentary, Come See Me in the Good Light, picked up an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary Feature alongside a GLAAD Award, the Sundance Festival Favorite Award, and a Cinema Eye Honors Award — a genuinely remarkable run for a stand-up doing documentary work. She co-hosts the GLAAD Award-winning podcast Handsome, wrote the bestselling memoir I’m Just a Person, and co-created the Amazon series One Mississippi. On screen, you know her from The Morning Show on Apple TV+ and Star Trek: Discovery. As a WAMC reviewer put it recently, she belongs on stand-up Mount Rushmore — all four faces, slightly different haircuts.
Venue & Logistics
Kodak Center’s 2,400-capacity theater at 200 W Ridge Road is a proper room for this kind of show — the size that gives a comedian space to breathe without losing the intimacy of the performance. Parking on-site runs $15 for general and $25 for premium. The box office is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Bag policy is strict: nothing larger than 8.5″ x 6″ x 11″ is permitted inside, so leave the big bag in the car.
Tickets
Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or in person at the Kodak Center Box Office. Tickets from the original June 7 and June 21 dates remain valid for August 29. The refund window closes July 3, 2026.
