WARRANT & Special Guest: Mike Tramp of White Lion at Riviera Theatre | April 8, 2027

By Rachel Torrey · September 8, 2026

“Heaven” peaked at No. 2 in 1989 and it has not stopped landing since. Warrant is still out on stages behind that catalog, and on Thursday, April 8, the band brings the full set to Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda — with Mike Tramp, the original vocalist of White Lion, opening the night.

About the Show

Warrant formed in Hollywood in 1984, signed with Columbia Records in 1988, and broke through with Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich (1989): the double-platinum debut put “Heaven” at No. 2 on the American charts, with “Down Boys” and “Sometimes She Cries” rounding out the run. The follow-up, Cherry Pie (1990), also went double platinum. The band has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. The current lineup (vocalist Robert Mason, guitarists Joey Allen and Erik Turner, bassist Jerry Dixon, and drummer Steven Sweet) has held together since Mason stepped in as frontman in September 2008. Their ninth and most recent studio album, Louder Harder Faster (2017, produced by Jeff Pilson), drew praise for balancing the heaviness of Dog Eat Dog against the streamlined songwriting of those first two records.

Mike Tramp co-founded White Lion in New York City in 1983. The band’s Pride album went double platinum in the U.S., sending “Wait” to No. 8 and “When the Children Cry” to No. 3, and the band spent their peak years on the road with Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, and AC/DC. White Lion played their final concert in Boston in September 1991. Tramp has remained active ever since, building a solo career that spans seven albums, and he closed out his Songs of White Lion trilogy with the third and final volume in September 2025 via Frontiers Music Srl. The series revisits the White Lion catalog: as the release describes it, these are the songs done “in the way that Mike would have done them if they were brand new songs today.”
