If you have been waiting for a heavy night in Rochester, here it is. Mayhem Tribute Fest rolls into Montage Music Hall on Friday, June 12 with three tribute acts, one 400-capacity general admission floor, and doors opening at 7 PM. Show starts at 7:30. Get there early — this is a standing room and floor position matters.
The Lineup
Three bands. Three tributes. One night of heavy music in downtown Rochester.
Wait and Bleed opens the bill as a Slipknot tribute — and calling them a tribute band undersells it. A seven-piece Northeast outfit, they work Slipknot’s full catalog with theatrical authenticity. Loud, unrelenting, and built for rooms exactly this size. If you have only seen Slipknot in an arena, this is a different experience.
Realign, out of Scranton, PA, takes on Godsmack. Their signature moment is a live recreation of Godsmack’s iconic drum battle, and it is the kind of thing that gets talked about after the fact. Raw vocals, full guitar attack, the complete package.
In House Drive By rounds out the night as a Rage Against the Machine tribute. If that sentence already has you checking the calendar, you know what you are getting into.
About Montage Music Hall
Montage Music Hall sits in Rochester’s East End, and it is one of the better-proportioned club rooms in the Rochester / Finger Lakes region for a bill like this. Four hundred capacity, general admission, standing only — the kind of setup where the energy in the room stays concentrated and the distance between you and the stage stays short. The venue has a long track record with Rochester Entertainment’s metal programming and the crowd that shows up for these nights knows the deal.
Parking in downtown Rochester: the garages along Chestnut put you close. Plan to be pulling in before 7 PM if you want to walk straight to the door.
